Guatemala Experience
BirthMatters, International, began teaching in Guatemala in 2008…working with nursing students, indigenous midwives (comadronas), birth centers, public and private hospitals … even a volunteer fire department. In response to her work with Casa Materna and the Universidad Rafael Landivar, Connie was named an honorary citizen of Huehuetenango, Guatemala.
